MEET US IRL in NYC

NY MusicTech Meetup & Demo Night Music Tech Capital: Where Investors are Placing Their Bets

We're thrilled to announce that Water & Music is teaming up with the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment for New York Music Month 2025!

This is our second time partnering with this incredible initiative, and we're taking things to a whole new level with not one, but two signature events that celebrate NYC's thriving music tech ecosystem:

Monday, June 9 | 6:00–9:00 PM
Public Records | 223 Butler Street, Gowanus, Brooklyn
RSVP | Apply to present

Hot off the heels of NY Tech Week, we're collaborating with Seth Hillinger and the NY MusicTech Meetup crew to showcase the most innovative music startups in the city.

The night will feature:

  • Lightning demos from a curated slate of NYC startups reshaping how music is created, distributed, monetized, and experienced
  • Quality networking with founders, investors, artists, and industry execs
  • Cash bar at one of NYC's most renowned music venues, Public Records

Space is limited — RSVP now to secure your spot.

Want to demo your music tech startup? Apply here by next Tuesday, May 27. We'll get back to all applicants and announce our final lineup on Monday, June 2, one week before the event.

Wednesday, June 25 | 6:00–9:00 PM
Perkins Coie LLP | 1155 6th Ave, 22nd Floor, Manhattan
RSVP

After the demos, join us later in the month for real talk with the investors and partners on the front lines of today's cutting-edge music tech deals.

We'll kick off with a data-driven overview of the music tech investment landscape from 2020–2025 (yes, there will be new Water & Music data), then dive into a panel discussion on market realities and tomorrow's breakthrough opportunities.

Our lineup of speakers:

This event is perfect for founders, VCs, industry strategists, innovation teams at labels & publishers, music business educators, and anyone else interested in getting a deeper view into how money flows in music and tech.

We'll have plenty of time for open networking, with light hors d’oeuvres and a full bar with non-alcoholic options.

RSVP here to secure your spot. Space is limited and we'll be curating the audience to ensure high-quality, thoughtful connections and conversations.

Special thank-you to Perkins Coie for hosting and sponsoring this panel!

Both of these events are official components of New York Music Month — the city’s official music festival, presented by the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment.

If you have any questions or feedback on these events, please reply directly to this email or reach out at hi@waterandmusic.com and we'll get back to you ASAP.

We can't wait to see you there!

Best,
W&M Team
